![]() ![]() Sorry for wrong terminology, started literally an hour ago with this and just wanted to see anime without manually setting subtitle language to eng for each file. You press the right arrow once to bring up the channel banner, press the down arrow to highlight the subtitle tab, then hit select to toggle subtitles on (or off). But if subtitle is embedded muxed inside mkv then subtitle shows normally with. There is still no single button to turn subtitles on and off, but TiVo has made it easier / faster than it was. Just to make sure I didnt screw anything up, I reflashed 9. I have to drag n drop subtitle file & which is handled by MPC's internal subtitle renderer. After that i got this i'm unable to load external subtitle automatically. Is this a common problem? Have other media players better solutions for this? Is there a better way to do this? I just updated MPC-BE, LAVfilter & madVR. But it would be a bit of a pain in the neck to have to use one page for subtitling with IE10 and another page for subtitling with other browsers, even though the subtitle files could be transfered between both pages to keep both pages updated. For now i have edited my mkv files and deactivated the forced sub, so the "select subtitle by language = eng setting" works. If they dont, then Ill revert to the former situation you described. Only way in the vlc media player software is to manually select the desired subtitle track each time you play the file. All automated rule setups i can do in vlc will be overwritten by the forced sub. Because the subtitle is forced, there seems to be no easy way to automatically use the full subtitle. One is a forced subtitle and will only be "activated" when no foreign language is spoken, the other is a full subtitle and would be always active. There are two subtitles saved in the mkv file, both have the same tag, eng. However, for subtitles it gets a little complicated. Don't know the correct expression for this, with tag i mean the software can identify the desired by language = eng or language = jpn setting. I have mkv files with english and japanese audio tracks, this is fine and i can select these tracks because they can be identified by the video player software (vlc in this case) by the track number or tag. Tried it in r/videoediting before, but they told me this could be the right place. If you still see the issue where more captions import but not all the way to the end, repeat the above process from step 2.Hello, i hope this belongs here. Save the file and import it into your video editing application or to your video host. ![]() Sometimes when editing the transcript text, an extra return carriage can make its way into the SRT file or when editing the text (such as pasting text in), the timing of a word can cause a caption to misalign on its timing. Do the timings of all the captions look fine? If not, edit it so the timings are compliant. The end time must be before the next caption's start time. ![]() ![]() Do you see an extra return carriage between lines? If so, remove it. Look at the caption that is one after: this is most likely the problematic caption. Then scroll to that caption in the SRT file in the text editor. Note the last caption you see/that imports to your video editor/video hosting platform. The SRT file is a simple text document: open it in a basic text editor such as Notepad or Text Edit.If you imported the SRT subtitle file to, say, Adobe Premiere Pro or Vimeo and you only see captions/subtitles up until a certain point, here's how to fix this: Bug report Describe the bug When playing a DVD ISO that has no 'native' subtitles, selecting a local subtitle file does not show any subtitles on screen. ![]()
